EPW - Fourier à Paris (unknown), quarter repeating on bell with muting button for dumb-strike, verge fusee, 45mm, 18K OF original consular case with beautifully engraved back and bezel, casemaker's incuse mark "FGI" under bell with case #707, touchmarks on pendant, KWKS, restored WED, pierced gilt hands, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced & engraved foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, s#400. Gross weight of assembled watch 51.5 dwt (80.1 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, good balance motion, good escapement function, plates show fine gilding, little oxide on steel components; good repeat function and tone; dial appears perfect, but has been clear-coated to conceal chip repair at winding hole; hands excellent; mint original case shows very little wear, few MFS, no dents or dings; button latch good with perfect top; bow & pendant original, little worn, tight junction; good domed glass crystal.
